Amelia is honored to step into the role of Executive Director of the Colorado Office of Public Guardianship. For more than twenty years, she has dedicated her career to supporting individuals with age-related needs, mental health challenges, and intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. Through this work, she has seen firsthand the profound impact that compassionate, person-centered advocacy can have on a person’s ability to live with dignity, stability, and independence.

She firmly believes that public guardianship–when used as a true service of last resort–has the power to protect and empower some of Colorado’s most vulnerable residents. As COPG advances toward statewide expansion, Amelia looks forward to strengthening our capacity to serve rural communities that often face limited resources and heightened barriers to support.

Amelia is thrilled to join the exceptional team at the Colorado Office of Public Guardianship and is excited for the work ahead as COPG continues building a system that prioritizes safety, autonomy, and respect for all Coloradoans.
