Myka Stacks

My name is Myka Stacks.  I was born in Denver, Colorado.  I graduated from college in 2004 with a B.S in Recreation Administration.  I have worked in education for 20 years working with students with disabilities and then in the areas of behavior and attendance.  As an educator, I have always taught the students I worked with to advocate for themselves.  While working at Developmental Pathways as a counselor I worked at a treatment facility with adolescent teenage girls.  I also served as a personal care giver for my father.  I am excited to become a Guardian with the Colorado Office of Public Guardian so that I can advocate for those who cannot advocate for themselves as I did for my father.
