A Denver native, Spencer J. Crona practices principally in the areas of Colorado probate, estate and trust litigation, Conservatorships and Guardianships, probate review of personal injury settlements and estate administration.

Over the past 30 years, Spencer has published numerous articles in professional journals and news media on probate litigation, personal injury settlement planning and a variety of public-policy issues. Through his extensive involvement in the Elder Law and Trust & Estate sections of the Colorado Bar Association, he has participated in the drafting of numerous Colorado probate statutes, including statutory provisions for the Colorado Uniform Guardianship and Protective Proceedings Act, estate compensation of professionals and determinations of death in a mass-casualty incident. For more than 20 years, he has taught every year as invited faculty at professional seminars within his fields of practice.  He has a Colorado Super Lawyer designation, 2015-present.  For 2020-2021, Spencer served as Chair of the Colorado Bar Association Trust & Estate Section.

Mr. Crona was admitted to practice before the courts of Colorado in October 1989 and was admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the District of Colorado and the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Tenth Circuit in 1990
